Zoe

Zoe wanted work that she could fit around her childcare commitments. She had a particular interest in beauty and was naturally talented at it. Her mentor was able to work with her and with support from a range of service was able to develop a business plan to enable her to set up a mobile beautician’s business, this way Zoe was able to do her work around her childcare.

Beauty Products

Communities for work supported her by paying for her beauty courses and also equipment to get her started. They have also supported her to apply for grant assistance to help grow the business further and hope to hear in the next few weeks if she is successful.

Zoe's Story

"A few months ago I joined C4W+, whereby during this time Kath was my mentor. I explored my options on what I really wanted to do (which was become a beautician) but never knew where to start. Not only how was I going to fund the training but what did I know about running my own business? Kath then went on to sort funding and book me onto the courses that was relevant to me."

"Bev then became my mentor and during this time I was put in touch with Business

Wales. Bev helped me overcome my fear of a business plan and also secured funding for some of my equipment needed."

"Both mentors have been absolutely superb; nothing was ever too much trouble. With the amount of support they gave me along the way, this is why I’m where I am today and weeks from going live with my business."

"If it wasn’t for their guidance and knowledge this would all still be a dream."

"They really are the best."
